The loss of a Post Office is a blow to any community but in a town the size of Portishead, it’s outrageous. Having recently spoken with Post Office management, they are keen to restore the service to the town.
Green Belt matters. Ever since I was first elected, I’ve opposed developments in the Green Belt, and will continue to do so in places like Wraxall, Long Ashton or Wrington, to name just a few places in North Somerset where it’s been proposed.

I have today submitted the below objection on North Somerset Council's website to Planning Application 23/P/0664/OUT - housing development in Yatton.
'I am objecting to this application to build on the Yatton flood plain in the strongest terms.
Hugely increased activity at Durnford Quarry is causing damage and debris on local roads. North Somerset Council Highways and Environment Agency must ensure full compliance.
Shocked that Roots Allotments are trying to bulldoze ahead with their plans despite having no planning permission. North Somerset Council must bring this to a halt.
