It was a pleasure to catch up with the Give Us Time team on Monday. The team has worked tirelessly helping to provide donated accommodation and holidays to service families, allowing them to reconnect and strengthen their relationships following periods of military service.
I had the pleasure of meeting with the Ambassador of Jordan to the UK, His Excellency Manar Dabbas, today. We discussed ways in which we can continue to develop and strengthen the Abraham Accords and the relationship between the United Kingdom and Jordan.
Here at Davos, we have been shown pictures of the suffering, torture and appalling treatment of the citizens of Ukraine at the hands of Putin. The free world must stand up to this diabolical act and provide Ukraine with what they need to fight for their freedom.
The next 6 months will be key in the battle against Russia’s violent oppression of Ukraine. Ukraine needs more weapons now. The West must supply these to ensure Putin’s barbarity does not triumph.
90% of liver disease is preventable, yet 3/4 of people are currently diagnosed with cirrhosis when it is too late for effective treatment. I’m pledging my support for the British Liver Trust’s calls to make early diagnosis of liver disease a routine.
The content of the Scottish Gender Recognition Bill is not the primary issue. The problem with this legislation is that it was never part of the devolution settlement that any one part of devolved government could require a change for citizens across the whole of the UK.

The Department for International Trade was set up to make the UK ready for leaving the EU. Now it needs to go further than that and be upgraded so that we have a proper economic department that takes the advantages available post-Brexit.
